One morning Simon woke up in his room, in a little village in the mountains. Below the town is a big, industrial city. Sometimes the pollution of the city reaches the town. This was one of those horrible mornings. The smell was putrid, in stark contrast to the idyllic nature surrounding the town. Something snapped in Simon's mind. Today was the day he would do something about this. Finally! He needed a plan though, and those weren't easy. You needed help with those, usually. With his morning coffee he began thinking 'who' could help with this plan, and what the plan even was in the first place. Was it just to stop the smell, or the far larger more scary reality of what was happening in the city below. Firstly, his loyal cat would be the first companion of course. Perhaps Brenda the local brewer could be of some assistance. They would need some magical help too of course. There was an old wizzard on the outskirts of the village that would be a keen help, Jack. With that a plan started forming in Simons mind. So, that very afternoon they created a catapult loaded with the most deliciously fragrant liquor blessed with a potent spell (of course) and without much fuss, was shot off into the city below. The result was to cure all the inhabitants of all their materialistic desires, and most importantly, it smelled a whole lot better!

Something needed to change for Jill. Something drastic, but she didn't know what. Her life, as messy and chaotic as it was, was, simply put, boring. No two days were the same, but somehow in that disarray, it became a new kind of 'normal'. She was searching for something beyond the mundane. Substances provided some kind of 'magic', but it was temporary and fleeting. She needed something more, and for now that was food. On her way to buy groceries she noticed a little black doorway that wasn't there before, despite this being her 'usual' route. There seemed to be a little sparkling of light emanating around the door. After some moments of speculation, and wondering if she had actually taken anything that morning, she dared to open the door. It was no normal door of course, but a window. She saw the most curious thing, giant keg being catapulted off a mountainside. All of a sudden there was a huge explosion, and an amazing smell filled the air. All of her worries seemed to vanish in an instant. She was somehow left with the clarity of what it was that she really needed to do to finally be whole again. What exactly that is, is a mystery to me.
